This morning I read Psalms Chapter 35 Verse 10 which is:
“All my bones shall say ‘O Lord who is like you, delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, the poor and needy from him who robs him?’”
As soon as I read that verse I had a revelation.
I said to myself, “This is why governments want to rid themselves of religion, or the other extreme, why they want to control the religion of the state.”
This verse, as does God, gives hope to the oppressed which is something the oppressor does not want.
It tells the subjects of the government that there is a higher power, a higher authority. Governments do not want their subjects to believe that.
Most governments don’t believe in a higher power or authority. They have come to believe their own narcissistic lies that they are the final authority, they are the salvation.
I’m not talking about the likes of Stalin or Hitler. I’m not talking about the ancient Roman emperors who set themselves up to be gods. I’m not talking about religious leaders who set themselves up to be the single authority of God.
These are the obvious oppressors.
I am talking out our own government, the type of government that our forefathers feared, one that has become a behemoth of power and corruption.
No one person is responsible yet the corruption of the whole is some much greater than the sum of its parts.
Some men and women enter this government with noble and altruistic ideals and are quickly sucked into the corruption of power, money and vanity.
So obviously there can be no place for God in this house of power. Many know the hypocrisies of mixing God and government. This is why they cry for separation of church and state.
Not to protect us the lowly citizen and taxpayer.
No it’s to protect themselves, their livelihood, their wealth and their corruption.
The need you to remember that they are your salvation, they are the power and you need to vote for them for your deliverance. They are the religion they want you to believe in.
As they rob the poor of their dignity and hope, they look to take yours. You must believe in them and their power. To believe in God and confess your belief in God may offend someone, namely them, the politician.
Know this, your deliverance by God is not dollars plopped into your lap. It is knowing that God has given you the gift of life and the ability to overcome, achieve and be happy despite the tyranny of governments.
That is your deliverance. That is what the governments cannot have you believe.
