First Share Of The Crops

2 Timothy 2:6-7

It is the hardworking farmer who ought to have first share of the crops.  Think over what I say for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

I have written about why government is so adamant about separation of church and state and how they have perverted the original intentions of this concept.

I fully agree with the edict of our founding fathers that there should not be an established official religion of the state.  No one belief should be the law of the land.

But the ruling political class has seen the danger that religion, especially the Judeo-Christian values, pose to their power.

Over the years, with the help of the lap dog media who are looking for their share of power, they have systematically turned the idea of separation of church, to removal of church from the state.  They see what Marx was looking to achieve when he said such things as “religion is the opiate of the masses” and “communism begins where atheism begins”.

They understand why Lenin stated “any religious idea, any idea of any God at all, any flirtation even with a God is the most inexpressible foulness….the most dangerous foulness, the most shameful infection.”  The type of “infection” Lenin was referring to was venereal disease.

Now what would cause the seekers of power to have such fear and loathing of religion?  Most powerful figures throughout history, those who were seeking absolute power, were not what you would refer to as kind hearted and benevolent.  Most were sadistic, narcissistic, delusional, despots.

Well just read 2 Timothy, chapter 2, verses six through seven.

It is the hardworking farmer who ought to have first share of the crops.  Think over what I say for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

To some these verses mean those who work hard at being righteous will enjoy the fruits of their labor of righteousness.

But let’s look at my first thoughts when I read these verses.

You put in forty, fifty or maybe even sixty or more hours of hard work every week.  At the end of every week or two weeks you get that envelope, the harvest from your hard work, and before you have a chance to fill your food stores with the bounty from your labor what happens?

The government has come in and taken what it wants first!

You know you can’t be trusted to pay your “fair share” (which is very subjective to begin with) so by law, their law, they take what they want when they want it.

Here is a verse in the Bible, in a religion that is contrary to their power grab.

It says, you, the hardworking common man should get yours first, not the government, nor any state run, corporate run or institutional church run organization.  You should be the one to reap the benefits of your labor.

This is just one of reasons they cry from the mountaintop, “Oh no, we cannot have religion involved in our lives.”

It’s not about their crocodile tears for those that may be offended. Offended by what?

To them religion teaches that you are a free individual, you are free to run your life as you see fit and believe what is morally correct, be it good or bad.  You are free to run your life and are therefore responsible for the consequences of your actions and beliefs.

Your freedom, your inalienable rights as granted to you by your creator are paramount and are above and beyond any power of man.  They are correct in that assumption and it scares them and threatens the very fiber of their power.

Marx understood this, Lenin understood this, Hitler understood this, Washington DC and all powers understand this and so they condemn it and ostracize those who believe it.  You are to worship them and sacrifice (pay your fair share) to them.

The government is your god and they profit from it.

“Think over what I say for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.”

“Think”, that is what they fear the most.

So the next time you hop on the “separation of church and state” media band wagon, remember it’s not the “separation” it’s the “elimination of the church from the state”.   This allows the government to reign supreme.

And remember this, the “state” isn’t the government and those in power, the “state” is you and me and all of us who make up our country.
