Here is a simple definition of covetous from the Merriam-Webster Website Dictionary: “feeling or showing a very strong desire for something that you do not have and especially for something that belongs to someone else.”
Covetousness, many would associate that word with greed and that would be correct.
Many would say it applies to the rich because they have so much and want so much more and the rich make them angry. What they don’t realize is that statement demonstrates their own covetousness.
They say life isn’t fair. How comes they get to be rich and I don’t? I want someone to set that right for me.
So the desire for so called “social justice” is most often based in sin, the sin of breaking the last commandment. Continue reading
